He gave us examples for where our relationship with Jesus stands.
He had a big Chrysler car that was the Christ car on the track; he then gave the possible situations that our relationship with Jesus could be in.
A. You are not even in the stadium (You have no idea who Jesus is and that he died for you)
B. You are in the grandstands as an observer (You know who Jesus is but you don't have a relationship with him)
C. You work in the pit crew (You work with Christians but you still don't have a very good relationship with Christ)
D. You could be ON the race track, but going the wrong way (You know who God is but you are running from Him)
E. You could be on the racetrack, but you are stuck in a tailspin (You were following Jesus and everything was going fine when, BAM! you run into the wall and you are spinning like crazy)
F. You could be drifting behind the Chrysler car (You are following Christ but from a safe distance)
G. You could be trying to PASS the Chrysler car (You are trying to pass God and tell him what YOU want to do with your life)
H. You are drafting behind the Chrysler car (Coach Crayton said this is the point where God wants us to be. Having this status for your relationship with Jesus should be our goal in life. Letting Jesus take on all the air and following him bumper to bumper the whole way wherever He takes us)
