FCA Week 13 - Talking Traditions

Last Wednseday, Mr. Reasland spoke about Christmas.
He challenged us to decide whether our "American" Christmas traditions were rooted in Christ, or in commercialism and pagan gods.

Week 12 - One Body

Tonight we brought 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 to life. Seven teams were assembled with four different players, each player representing a different body part (ie: left arm, right arm, eyes, and mouth). Teams needed to work their way through an obstacle course while only the eyes could see and only the mouth could talk. The final obstacle was to eat 3 powder sugar donuts and drink a small cup of water. However, the arms (two different players) had to feed the mouth (a third teammate) without being able to see each other or communicating verbally. Lets just say there were a lot of parallels to our life as Christians in the body of Christ.

Each person has spiritual gifts and they need to serve God whole heartedly with those gifts. Furthermore, it takes a great deal of practice if we want the body of Christ to function better than our teams did at this challenge. If we desire for others to come to know Jesus Christ then we need to start working together. Are you putting in any practice time as a member of the body of Christ?
